⚽Adrien Rabiot has already hinted which team he’d join between Liverpool and Man Utd

Adrien Rabiot has dropped clear hints about his preferences between Liverpool and Manchester United amid speculation about his future. On Thursday, Juventus confirmed that the 29-year-old midfielder had left the club after his contract expired. Rabiot played 212 games for Juventus, where he won a Serie A title, two Italian Cups, and an Italian Super Cup after joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.

Juventus’ technical director, Cristiano Giuntoli, expressed gratitude to Rabiot during a press conference introducing new manager Thiago Motta, stating: “Rabiot’s contract has expired. We wish him a happy future, both professionally and personally.”

Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Newcastle, and Liverpool, have been linked with Rabiot. However, Liverpool may have the upper hand due to Rabiot’s childhood connection to the club. The French international previously revealed that he was a Liverpool fan as a child, inspired by club legend Steven Gerrard.

“I followed Liverpool as a kid because I was a fan of Steven Gerrard,” Rabiot said in an interview with *Tuttosport* in 2022. “He made me dream, so I used to follow the Reds.”

Rabiot has also expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, having briefly been part of Manchester City’s academy in 2008. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he shared: “I’ve always said I’d like to play in England during my career. That desire is still there. I’d like to play in the Premier League.”

Given his childhood allegiance to Liverpool and his interest in playing in England, the Reds might have an edge in the race for Rabiot’s signature.Adrien Rabiot’s recent departure from Juventus has sparked speculation about his next move, with Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle showing interest in the 29-year-old midfielder. With Juventus officially confirming his exit, Rabiot is now a free agent, and his comments suggest he has a preference that could shape his future destination.

Rabiot’s childhood connection to Liverpool could indeed give the club an advantage. His admiration for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard led him to follow the Reds closely during his formative years. This affinity for Liverpool, combined with his previously stated desire to play in the Premier League, might sway his decision toward Anfield. In a 2022 interview with *Tuttosport*, Rabiot mentioned his admiration for Gerrard, noting, “I followed Liverpool as a kid because I was a fan of Steven Gerrard. He made me dream, so I used to follow the Reds.”

Although Manchester United and Newcastle remain interested, Rabiot’s history and personal preferences suggest Liverpool might have an upper hand in securing his services. His experience playing at top European clubs, his versatility in midfield, and his openness to returning to England after a brief stint at Manchester City’s academy all align well with Liverpool’s potential plans. If they push for his signature, they could add a seasoned and dynamic midfielder to their ranks.
