Mason Greenwood has been supported by three Manchester United teammates after returning a stunning return to form for Olympique de Marseille.

The 23-year-old has recently regained his place in Roberto De Zerbi’s starting XI, following criticism from the Italian manager in March regarding his work-rate. Since his return, he has contributed three goals and one assist in the last five matches.

Greenwood found the net in Marseille’s 4-1 home victory over Brest and also set up a goal for Amine Gouiri. He has now scored 20 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.

The win was crucial for Marseille’s push for a top-three finish in Ligue 1, and De Zerbi praised Greenwood’s performance in his post-match comments.

“The players are happy,” De Zerbi told DAZN. “Have you ever seen Mason Greenwood work like today? It was the first time. You have to give the players credit. Sometimes you lose points because of bad attitudes, but not because they’re not good guys.”

Taking to Instagram, the winger shared some snaps and wrote: “Great performance from start to finish, important win,” followed by a blue love heart.

Mason Greenwood’s resurgence at **Olympique de Marseille** under Roberto De Zerbi is becoming one of the standout stories of the Ligue 1 season. After being publicly challenged on his **work-rate**, Greenwood has not only responded with goals and assists—**20 goals in 33 appearances** is an elite return—but also earned praise from his manager for his improved attitude and intensity on the pitch.

De Zerbi’s comment—**“Have you ever seen Mason Greenwood work like today?”**—is telling. It suggests that Greenwood is evolving into a more complete forward, adding off-the-ball effort to his already well-known technical and finishing abilities.

Notably, his form hasn’t gone unnoticed by his **former Manchester United teammates**, three of whom reportedly showed support on social media after his latest performance. This could signal continued bonds between Greenwood and some within the Old Trafford dressing room—even as uncertainty remains around his long-term future at the club.

Given Greenwood’s performances and De Zerbi’s public backing, do you think United should reintegrate him or look to cash in this summer?
