(4-3-3) Three Crucial changes to Arteta Previous XI”, Possible Arsenal line up vs Aston Villa – as Arteta vows to revenge last season defeat

This weekend, Arsenal faces an important challenge as they travel to Aston Villa, marking an early test of their ability to compete for the Premier League title this season.

In their first game of the new season, Arsenal secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves). Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were the goal scorers, helping Arsenal start the season on a positive note.

Ahead of their match at Villa Park, Arsenal’s squad is mostly fit and ready to play. Jurrien Timber, who had missed Arsenal’s last two pre-season matches due to an injury, made a successful return during the opening weekend. He came on as a substitute in the second half against Wolves, showing that he is back in action.

However, Takehiro Tomiyasu is still recovering from a knee injury and won’t be available for a few more weeks. He suffered this injury before Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States. Similarly, Kieran Tierney is still out of action due to a hamstring injury he picked up during Euro 2024, so he won’t be playing either.

Fabio Vieira, another Arsenal player, has been struggling with a hip injury. There is a possibility that he might return to the squad this weekend, depending on his recovery.

Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, might stick with the same starting lineup that played against Wolves. However, he could consider bringing in Leandro Trossard to replace Gabriel Martinelli on the left side of the attack.

New summer signing Riccardo Calafiori is also available and ready to play after being on the bench last Saturday. Arteta may decide to use him if he feels any changes are needed.

The central defensive partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, who have been solid at the back for Arsenal, continues to be a key part of the team. Both were recently named in the PFA Team of the Season, along with three other Arsenal players: David Raya, Declan Rice, and Martin Odegaard.

The expected Arsenal lineup for the match against Aston Villa is as follows: Raya in goal; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, and Oleksandr Zinchenko in defense; Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey, and Declan Rice in midfield; and Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Martinelli up front.
