Ancelotti blames himself and Real Madrid star for losing two points against Mallorca and demands this from Perez

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, who manages Real Madrid, spoke about his team’s recent draw with Real Mallorca in the Spanish League. The match concluded a short time ago, with the teams finishing level at the Iberostar Stadium in the opening round of the 2024/2025 Spanish League season.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Rodrigo scoring for Real Madrid and Muriqui equalizing for Real Mallorca. In the post-match press conference, Carlo Ancelotti commented, “We lacked balance and did not perform well; we need to improve our defense.”

He added, “I was content with some draws last year, but not today. The match should have been much better; we need to handle certain situations more effectively.”

Ancelotti also expressed concern about Vinicius Junior, stating, “I want Perez to step in and protect Vinicius from the negative chants he faces, as it affects our performance and the referees are not taking a firm stance on this.”

He noted, “Vinicius Junior’s performance was affected by these issues, leading to our loss of two scoring opportunities, and I should have substituted him earlier.”
