Chelsea exploring shock Jadon Sancho deal to end his Manchester United nightmare – with Blues willing to offer players in exchange after exiling 13 stars to a ‘bomb squad’

Chelsea are exploring a deal to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, with the Blues expected to rival Juventus for his signature.

Sancho travelled with United to Brighton for their second Premier League match of the season on Saturday, but was left out of the squad at the Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by the Seagulls.

Questions have remained over Sancho’s future at the club, despite Man United boss Erik ten Hag ‘drawing a line’ under their row which saw him exiled and loaned to Borussia Dortmund last season.

Maresca had claimed earlier this week that it was ‘impossible’ to give them minutes due to the size of the Chelsea squad.

‘They (Sterling and Chilwell) are training apart,’ Maresca said on Wednesday.
We have a big squad and it is impossible to give them all minutes. If they are looking for minutes, then it is better if they leave.

‘If they do not leave, then they have a contract here and they are Chelsea players.’

Sancho traveled with United for their match against Brighton but was left out of the squad, raising further questions about his future at Old Trafford. Despite Erik ten Hag’s previous attempts to resolve their differences after Sancho’s loan to Borussia Dortmund last season, his position at United remains uncertain.

Juventus has been considering a loan move with an obligation to buy Sancho for £40 million, while Chelsea is looking into a possible deal as well. However, talks between United and Juventus appear to be more advanced than those with Chelsea.

For Chelsea to pursue Sancho, they would likely need to offload several players due to their already large squad. The Blues are open to including a player in a potential swap deal, with Raheem Sterling mentioned as a possible candidate due to his diminished role under head coach Enzo Maresca. Sterling, along with Ben Chilwell, has been training separately from the main squad, with Maresca suggesting that they might need to leave to get regular playing time.

Should Chelsea succeed in signing Sancho, he would join an already crowded attacking lineup, which recently saw a strong performance in their 6-2 win over Wolves. With the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk, Cole Palmer, and Noni Madueke contributing significantly, it remains to be seen how Sancho would fit into Maresca’s plans if a deal is completed.
