Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has been sent off for the second time in a row for poor behavior and tackle, and FIFA has declared that he will receive a lengthy ban as a result of his actions.
Fernandes was disqualified in United’s 3-0 thumping by Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday, and he has now exacerbated matters with another red card.
During their Europa League match against Porto, which came out 3-3, the United skipper was awarded a second yellow card for a high foot in the 82nd minute.
Already on a yellow card—also issued for a high foot—the Portugal international was on a boot out trying to reach the end of a cross into the box.
Porto defender Nehuen Perez, however, stooped to head clear and descended holding his face.
” Bruno Fernandes finds himself unsatisfied. Former Premier League goalie Paul Robinson stated on BBC Radio 5 Live: “He has gone in high with his foot and it is hazardous.” “In Fernandes’s defence he is gazing at the ball, but you leave the referee no alternative.”
