“He did the same thing last two years which cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job. He was supposed to be the main man but he is busy playing like a kid”-Roy Keane slams Man United star with ‘bad habit’ after FA Cup win vs Wigan.

“He did the same thing last two years which cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job. He was supposed to be the main man but he is busy playing like a kid”-Roy Keane slams Man United star with ‘bad habit’ after FA Cup win vs Wigan.

Former Manchester United star Roy Keane recently criticized Marcus Rashford for a recent pattern of behavior during games. After United’s 2-0 triumph over Wigan Athletic, Keane expressed concern, suggesting that Rashford’s teammates should expect more from him.

During the match, Rashford played for more than ninety minutes, assisting Diogo Dalot’s opening goal but failing to score himself. Keane wasn’t pleased with Rashford’s overall performance, especially his inability to consistently threaten the Wigan goal.

Keane pointed out, “Man United are playing against a League One side. Marcus [Rashford] must be walking off the pitch [thinking], ‘For all these opportunities, I should be scoring, or certainly providing more assists for some of the players.’ It may be a bit harsh, but that’s because we expect a lot from him. He should be more explosive; it’s just these little details.”

The legendary player also highlighted a specific habit of Rashford’s that he believes is hurting the attacker’s effectiveness. “He’s got into the habit as well of stopping the ball dead, and that makes it easier to defend,” Keane explained. “There were parts of his game tonight that frustrated me, and hopefully they’ll have frustrated his teammates who will now go, ‘Listen, we expect more from you.’”

Rashford has been struggling for consistency since August, contributing only nine goals for club and country this season. Despite this, there has been a recent improvement in Rashford’s form, providing either a goal or an assist in each of his last three games.

After defeating Wigan, Manchester United is set to face either Eastleigh or Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round, continuing their journey in the competition.
