“It’s a good news they have gone back to him. He knows how to revive teams. I recommend him for te Glazers last but he decline the offer. But the New owners are going back to get him with a better offer to take United Job”-Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that Man Utd have currently ‘re-open’ talks with world-class manager who he recommended for the club to sign to replace Erik ten Hag and the New Manager.

Ten Hag’s position has come under increasing pressure following the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday at Old Trafford. The scrutiny intensified after United squandered a two-goal lead against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday, eventually salvaging a 3-3 draw thanks to Harry Maguire’s late equalizer.

According to *The Athletic*, United are currently taking a “long-term view” on Ten Hag’s future, suggesting that even if they lose to Aston Villa this weekend, the Dutchman may remain in charge. However, minority co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will be attending the game at Villa Park, along with INEOS, had already held discussions with several managerial candidates over the summer as they considered replacing Ten Hag. Although they eventually extended his contract after United’s FA Cup victory, those discussions may be revived amidst the current uncertainty.

One of the managers United approached over the summer was Thomas Tuchel, who reportedly declined the offer due to concerns about the club’s power structure. Now, according to *i*, United could reopen talks with the former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss, who is currently without a club, should they part ways with Ten Hag.

Ratcliffe’s personal preferences reportedly include either Graham Potter or Gareth Southgate, but the final decision would involve the club’s leadership group.
Meanwhile, Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri reports that United approached Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi about the role this week. However, Inzaghi is believed to have rejected the offer, choosing to stay with Inter.

Another potential candidate is Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who reportedly held talks with United before last season’s FA Cup final, in which the Red Devils pulled off a surprise win against Manchester City.

Despite these names being linked, the bookmakers’ favorite for the job remains current assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy. The former United striker was brought in over the summer after a successful stint with PSV, where he won two trophies in his single season in charge.
Erik ten Hag’s position as Manchester United manager is under increasing pressure following a difficult run of results, including a 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham and a 3-3 Europa League draw against Porto. Despite these setbacks, *The Athletic* reports that United are still taking a long-term approach to Ten Hag’s future, with no immediate plans for a change even if they lose to Aston Villa this weekend. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, the club’s minority co-owners, are reportedly reconsidering their options, having previously held talks with several managerial candidates over the summer.

Among the candidates considered was Thomas Tuchel, who turned down the opportunity due to concerns about the club’s internal structure. According to *i*, United may look to reopen discussions with Tuchel, who is currently without a club. Ratcliffe is also rumored to favor managers like Graham Potter or Gareth Southgate, but any final decision would involve the club’s leadership.

Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri added that United recently approached Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi, but he rejected the offer in favor of staying with Inter. Brentford’s Thomas Frank is another potential candidate, having been linked with United before last season’s FA Cup final.

However, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ten Hag’s assistant and a former United striker, remains the bookmakers’ favorite to take over if Ten Hag departs. Van Nistelrooy joined over the summer following a successful season managing PSV Eindhoven, where he won two trophies.
