BREAKING NEWS: Ruben Amorim leaves fans stunned with the announcement of Pogba’s clear intentions to return to Manchester United.

Former French international Bacary Sagna has suggested that Paul Pogba could seize the chance for a third stint at Manchester United, particularly with the allure of working under new manager Ruben Amorim. Pogba, currently a free agent, is seeking to revive his career after a challenging period that has left many questioning his future in football.
The 2018 World Cup winner recently parted ways with Juventus by mutual consent, following a second spell in Turin that saw him make just 12 appearances. Pogba’s career faced a significant setback in September 2023 when he received a four-year suspension for doping after unknowingly consuming a banned substance.
However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the ban to 18 months, allowing him to resume training in January 2024 and return to competitive play by March.
Despite being 31, Pogba remains a player of immense talent. Sagna, who previously played for Arsenal and Manchester City, believes Pogba could be drawn back to Old Trafford, with Amorim’s leadership playing a key role. Speaking to Mega Dice, Sagna emphasized the importance of Amorim’s approach in potentially facilitating Pogba’s return:
“Manchester United has evolved significantly since Paul’s last spell there. With a young and dynamic coach like Amorim, who has firsthand experience at the highest level, he understands the challenges players face. I believe he would welcome Paul because he recognizes how much the club means to him.”
Sagna also touched on Pogba’s emotional bond with Manchester United, despite a turbulent second tenure that spanned six years and yielded just two trophies.
Former French international Bacary Sagna has suggested that Paul Pogba might consider a return to Manchester United, especially under the leadership of manager Ruben Amorim. Pogba, now 31, is currently a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Juventus in November 2024. His second stint with the Italian club was marred by injuries and a doping suspension.
In September 2023, Pogba received a four-year suspension after testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). However, upon appeal, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the ban to 18 months, acknowledging that the substance was ingested unintentionally. This reduction allows Pogba to resume training in January 2025 and return to competitive play by March 2025.
Sagna believes that the presence of Amorim, a young coach with a player’s perspective, could be pivotal in Pogba’s decision-making. He stated, “United have a young coach, a coach that has been a player, a coach that understands the situation.”
Adding to the speculation, Pogba recently posted on social media, stating, “I’m coming back,” hinting at his eagerness to return to professional football.
Manchester United’s current struggles under Amorim, including a recent 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and a precarious 15th position in the Premier League, might influence the club’s interest in re-signing Pogba. The team’s injury crisis and reliance on young, inexperienced players have further compounded their challenges.
While a potential reunion could bolster United’s midfield, it remains to be seen whether the club will pursue Pogba’s return as part of their strategy to overcome current adversities.
