“I’ve watched the two Arsenal players very well so far this season and they really suit my Barcelona style, we are ready to pay their price”- Barcelona New Manager Hansi Flick confirms Barca are seriously interested and are ready to offer a ‘huge offer’ for TWO Arsenal brilliant stars who could become monsters at the Camp Nou
Barcelona is reportedly interested in acquiring two players from Arsenal, according to Spanish sports daily Mundo Deportivo.
Despite these rumors, both players remain crucial to the North London club’s plans.
First, let’s talk about Jorginho, the Italian international. His playing time at Arsenal has decreased this season after the arrival of Declan Rice. However, Jorginho and his agent have made it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Emirates Stadium. His contract with Arsenal runs until 2024, with an option for an additional year.
Next, there’s Kai Havertz, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in a high-profile transfer. His start in North London has been challenging, but Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, continues to support him. In a recent press conference, Arteta expressed his commitment to helping Havertz succeed. He said, “I want to try to help him as much as possible, be next to him, give him the tools, give him the confidence, and give him the minutes to exploit his talent. There are many aspects of his game that he’s doing exceptionally well, and we know which areas need improvement.”
Arteta emphasized the importance of supporting players, saying, “With any player, it’s about giving support, especially when you see someone who puts in the effort every single day. You provide them with support and tools, and if they don’t perform, it’s because we haven’t done enough.”
The report from Spain suggests that Barcelona is exploring options for the upcoming January transfer window and sees Jorginho and Havertz as potential targets. Barcelona’s strategy is based on the belief that the January market will present more opportunities, similar to last summer when they acquired Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo on loan. They believe that players who were once considered “star signings” might become available at a lower price. According to their assessments, both Jorginho and Havertz fit this profile.
To provide some context, Arsenal signed Jorginho from Chelsea for €11.3 million, although he was valued at €35 million at that time and is now valued at €25 million. Havertz, on the other hand, was signed for €75 million, and his value has remained steady at €55 million.
It remains uncertain whether Barcelona will make a formal approach for either player, but the interest suggests they are preparing for an active transfer window. With ambitions of reclaiming their place among Europe’s elite, Barcelona aims to attract some of the continent’s most experienced and talented players to the Camp Nou.
