Manchester United Seals Agreement with Noussair Mazraoui: Awaiting Finalization with Bayern Munich

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester United has successfully negotiated personal terms with Mazraoui, offering him a five-year contract valid until 2029. Additionally, similar to the deals for Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, United retains the option to extend Mazraoui’s contract by an additional year. The completion of this transfer is contingent upon the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Romano’s update on social media indicates that patience is required as West Ham United is showing interest in Wan-Bissaka, and the outcome of these negotiations will determine the finalization of Mazraoui’s transfer.
This move is seen as a strategic adjustment rather than a significant upgrade. Although Mazraoui is considered a better fit for the team, Wan-Bissaka is often regarded as a more skilled player, especially in defensive roles. Manager Erik ten Hag’s reservations about Wan-Bissaka stem from his limited contribution to the offensive play, making Mazraoui a sensible alternative.
