The newspaper also reported that Manchester United, following Varane’s departure, plans to place Anthony and Jadon Sancho on the market while targeting Rafinha, who previously made a strong impression in the English Premier League with Leeds. United aims to bolster its attack with Rafinha to create a potent partnership with Rashford.

Despite Rafinha’s expressed desire to stay at Barcelona, his excellent relationship with Deco—his former agent who facilitated his move to Barcelona—could potentially make it easier for him to cooperate on a transfer if necessary.Barcelona’s financial difficulties have reached a critical point, with the club currently able to register only 16 players in La Liga due to wage bill constraints. Although Rafinha has expressed a desire to remain at Barcelona, his close relationship with Deco, his former agent and the current sporting director, could facilitate a potential transfer if Barcelona deems it necessary.

Additionally, United may look to offload players like Antony and Jadon Sancho to fund this move. The situation remains fluid, with Barcelona needing to make critical decisions to address their wage bill crisis and player registration issues.
