Arsenal Star Reiss Nelson will become the most HATED player after he’s set to complete shock transfer to Premier League Rivals
According to sources from Football Insider, Arsenal seems open to receiving offers for their 24-year-old attacker, Reiss Nelson, and is thinking about sending him on loan during the upcoming January transfer window.
The club isn’t planning to let Nelson go permanently but is considering a temporary move for the rest of the season.
This decision follows Arsenal turning down several permanent offers earlier. Nelson had committed to a long-term deal with the club in July, despite limited playing time during the current season under manager Mikel Arteta.
Despite signing a significant deal last July, with a weekly earning of over £100,000, Nelson has only played 87 minutes in the Premier League this season.
Although he made notable contributions, such as scoring the winning goal against Brentford in the EFL Cup, he hasn’t been a regular on the field.
Recognizing the importance of Nelson’s continuous development, Arsenal is now thinking about letting him temporarily leave the club. Nelson, who came through Arsenal’s academy, had a successful loan spell at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga before, but his time at Feyenoord in the Dutch league didn’t provide him with the desired playing minutes.
The club’s decision to explore a loan move for Nelson is aimed at giving him valuable experience elsewhere, hoping it will contribute to his growth as a player.
Looking at the bigger picture, Arsenal is not only considering Nelson’s potential loan but is also looking into options to sell midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho in January, depending on receiving suitable offers.
This strategic approach reflects Arsenal’s intention to carefully manage their squad dynamics, providing opportunities for players like Nelson to develop consistently and make meaningful contributions on the field.
