BREAKING: Arsenal have just been guaranteed a 100% hope of signing world class goal scorer for just £40M- Clubs have met and Arsenal’s bid already ACCEPTED- Player pleaded to fix his MEDICALS after his church service later in the day- He will be Arteta’s only signing this January- Official announcement from Arsenal soon

Arsenal has reportedly communicated to Bologna their willingness to invest over €40 million to secure the services of Joshua Zirkzee during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to information from Corriere dello Sport. Zirkzee, currently in his second season with the Serie A team, has showcased his prowess with eight goals and four assists in 22 appearances under the management of Thiago Motta.

The Gunners, impressed by Zirkzee’s performances, are said to be gearing up for a potential move at the end of the season. Despite Bayern Munich having a €40 million buy-back clause for Zirkzee, coupled with a significant sell-on clause, Bologna holds a strong negotiating position, indicating that they may seek a fee higher than the predetermined value.

Reports suggest that Arsenal is ready to “guarantee” such a fee, but they might face competition from Manchester United, who are also willing to meet the demands for the promising Dutchman.

At present, Arsenal’s striking options include Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, with Jesus being the undisputed first-choice under manager Mikel Arteta. Nketiah, who has often started in the absence of Jesus due to injuries, may face increased competition for a starting role. Recent instances, such as Leandro Trossard being chosen over Nketiah to lead the line against Liverpool, hint at the need for reinforcement in the striking department.

Considering a potential new signing, Zirkzee emerges as a candidate. While not yet a complete player, Zirkzee has made significant strides with Bologna, contributing to 12 goals in 22 games this season. His strengths include effective anchor and link-up play, notable pace, and the ability to dribble past opponents. Additionally, the Dutchman provides an aerial presence, a quality currently lacking in Arsenal’s forward line.

While fans might initially hope for established names like Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen to complement Jesus, the possibility of Zirkzee as a recruit cannot be ruled out. Managerial preference and Zirkzee’s promising development with Bologna could position him as a viable option for Arsenal in the upcoming transfer window.
