Cristiano Ronaldo has already made his feelings clear on Man Utd return following ‘unfinished business’ claim

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Manchester United has been clarified after his former teammate suggested that he could make a surprise comeback.

Cristiano Ronaldo played for Manchester United from 2003 to 2009 and returned to the club in 2021, but left dramatically in November 2022 following a falling out with coach Erik ten Hag. Despite this, former teammate Louis Saha believes Ronaldo may return to Old Trafford as a coach or manager once his playing career ends.

Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr as a free agent in December 2022, has suggested that his time in European football is complete. During his introduction as an Al-Nassr player in January 2023, Ronaldo stated, “My work in Europe is done. I’ve played at the best clubs in the world and won everything. I’m happy and proud to join Al-Nassr. People don’t know about the level here. This contract is unique because I am a unique player. It’s normal for me.”

The 39-year-old has had a storied career across four major European leagues, scoring 498 goals for clubs on the continent, and achieved significant success internationally, including winning the Euros in 2016.Despite Ronaldo’s recent comments, Louis Saha remains optimistic about a potential return to Manchester United in a different role. Saha expressed his belief that Ronaldo could come back to the club as a coach or manager.

Saha told TVSporten, “Cristiano Ronaldo has the passion and dedication to return to Manchester United one day. That could be as a coach or even a manager. His second stint at the club didn’t end as hoped, which understandably frustrated him. He didn’t see the same level of passion from young players that he was accustomed to.”

Saha added, “Cristiano will understand what is needed to succeed as a manager, and I see no reason why he wouldn’t be successful in that role.” Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Manchester United has been clarified amid speculation of a potential return, this time not as a player but possibly as a coach or manager. Despite his dramatic departure from the club in November 2022 after a fallout with Erik ten Hag, Ronaldo’s former teammate, Louis Saha, believes that the Portuguese star may still have unfinished business at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia after leaving European football, has publicly stated that his career in Europe is complete. However, Saha remains optimistic that Ronaldo’s connection with Manchester United could bring him back in a different capacity once his playing days are over.

Saha suggested that Ronaldo’s passion and dedication could see him return to Manchester United as a coach or even as a manager. He pointed out that Ronaldo’s second stint at the club didn’t end as expected, partly due to his frustrations with the lack of passion he perceived in younger players. Saha believes that Ronaldo has the qualities needed to be successful in a managerial role at the club, highlighting his deep understanding of what it takes to win and succeed.
