Fans stunned after hearing how much Al Nassr will spend on Casemiro to tempt Man Utd star to Saudi Pro League
Fans have been left stunned by the amount Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr are willing to pay for Manchester United’s Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder is attracting interest from several Saudi Pro League clubs, with champions Al Hilal also reportedly keen. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr have made him a priority target to bolster their squad for next season.
Initial discussions between the two parties have taken place, and Casemiro is said to be interested in joining the growing number of high-profile players in Saudi Arabia. Despite a disappointing second season at United, Casemiro remains a sought-after player.
According to Caught Offside, Al Nassr are prepared to offer up to €100 million (£85 million) for the 32-year-old. This amount would be just shy of the record fee paid by a Saudi side, which is the £86 million Al Hilal spent to acquire Neymar.
Manchester United could potentially make a profit on the £70 million they spent on Casemiro, a prospect that has left many fans in disbelief. One fan commented, “Imagine we got that much for him.” Another added, “@AlNassrFC_EN I speak on behalf of every Manchester United fan: if you give us that amount of money, we will all buy one Al Nassr jersey each.” A third fan joked, “I will personally drive him there.” A fourth suggested, “This must be a joke. Take it and run.” However, one fan expressed skepticism, saying, “This will be his salary or transfer fee plus salary. There’s no way they’re bidding that for him.”
Casemiro still has at least two years remaining on his £350,000-a-week United contract, having signed a four-year deal with an option for a fifth in 2022. He has made 83 appearances in all competitions over two seasons, winning one Carabao Cup and one FA Cup.
