Johan Bakayoko, a winger for PSV Eindhoven, is currently not a target for Arsenal, as Fabrizio Romano shared with GIVEMESPORT. Although several clubs are interested in Bakayoko this summer, Arsenal is still considering their choices.

Romano describes the 21-year-old Bakayoko as one of the best wingers available. After another great season in the Dutch league, Bakayoko is now focusing on Euro 2024 with Belgium. His teammate Romelu Lukaku has called him “incredible.” This summer is expected to be eventful for Bakayoko.

Liverpool has already shown interest in Bakayoko. New Liverpool manager Arne Slot knows Bakayoko from his time in the Netherlands. The Premier League has been eyeing Bakayoko for a second summer, with a price tag of £43 million. Former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany had also shown interest and explained his vision to Bakayoko.

Bakayoko made his first-team debut for PSV in 2022 and is seen as one of Belgium’s top young talents, alongside players like Jeremy Doku and Lois Openda. However, Romano mentions that it is still early to say if Bakayoko will transfer to Arsenal this summer. The Gunners are still deciding if they need another winger since they already have Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka.

No Deal for Bakayoko Yet

Arsenal is moving cautiously. Romano told GIVEMESPORT that Bakayoko’s move to Arsenal is “not something imminent.” He said, “I saw these rumors, but I have no evidence that anything serious is happening between Arsenal and Bakayoko.” Many clubs have scouted him, and he is definitely among the top wingers available. However, Arsenal has not started formal talks with Bakayoko or PSV. Romano believes Arsenal will think carefully before deciding on this position. For now, Bakayoko’s move to Arsenal doesn’t seem close or likely.

After narrowly missing out on winning the Premier League, Mikel Arteta’s team plans to spend more money this summer. Last year, they set a new transfer record by signing Declan Rice. Even though this summer has started quietly, Arsenal might still make some big signings.

Bakayoko’s future will likely be decided after Belgium finishes Euro 2024. He had an impressive season with PSV, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 33 league games. This earned him a call-up to Belgium’s national team for a major tournament.

Johan Bakayoko’s Stats for 2023–24 Season:
– Eredivisie: 33 games, 12 goals, 9 assists
– Champions League: 8 games, 1 goal, 1 assist
– Champions League Qualifiers: 4 games, 0 goals, 4 assists
– KNVB TOTO Beker: 2 games, 1 goal, 0 assists
– Johan Cruijff Schaal: 1 game, 0 goals, 0 assists

Eddie Nketiah Likely to Leave Arsenal

Eddie Nketiah is likely to leave Arsenal this summer. Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth shared with GIVEMESPORT that Nketiah is “very likely” to leave the club. The 25-year-old had a tough season under manager Mikel Arteta, with limited playing time and only five goals in 27 league games.

Several Premier League teams, including Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Fulham, are interested in Nketiah this summer. Meanwhile, Arsenal is looking to sign a new attacker to strengthen their squad before the next season starts.
