Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in a press conference before the Real Mallorca match that the club’s transfer activities have concluded, stating, “Our team is now complete.”

According to a report from the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, Real Madrid was informed that if they had placed Rodrygo Goes on the transfer market, they could have easily sold him for €120 million. Florentino Perez, the club’s president, reportedly shared this information with Ancelotti, revealing that both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain were willing to pay this amount for the Brazilian forward.

Despite this potential windfall, neither the club nor Rodrygo showed any interest in pursuing such a transfer. However, it has been suggested that Perez is considering a future move in the summer of 2025 to sell Rodrygo and replace him with Bayer Leverkusen’s rising star, Florian Wirtz. This idea reportedly surprised Ancelotti, especially since Rodrygo remains committed to staying with Real Madrid at least until the 2024-2025 season. The speculation surrounding Rodrygo’s future has intensified due to the arrival of Mbappé, although the Brazilian has remained steadfast in his intention to continue with the club.
