GET MIT DONE Kaoru Mitoma tipped for stunning Man Utd transfer and told he is already far better than two of Ten Hag’s wingers

BRIGHTON winger Kaoru Mitoma would be a perfect fit for Manchester United, according to former player Garth Crooks.

The Japan international has been in excellent form since last season, a stark contrast to the wide players at Manchester United. Several top clubs are reportedly interested in securing Mitoma’s signature in the near future.
According to *BBC Sport*, Garth Crooks, who had a loan spell at United during his playing days, believes Mitoma would be the perfect fit for the Red Devils.

Crooks stated: “Manchester United have Jadon Sancho and Antony in their ranks. And I haven’t seen anything from those two that compares to the quality or ability I’ve seen from this lad. I acknowledge that Old Trafford is an intimidating stage, and the stakes are much higher there, but Mitoma is a United player if I ever saw one.”
Brighton, known for their impressive scouting system, signed Mitoma from Kawasaki Frontale in 2021. After spending a season on loan in Belgium, the 26-year-old became one of the Premier League’s breakout stars in the 2022/23 season. He scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Brighton.
Mitoma has started the new campaign in similar fashion, netting a brilliant solo goal in Brighton’s 4-1 victory over Wolves last weekend.

In contrast, United’s wingers have faced significant criticism for their performances in the first two games of the season. Antony, who joined the Red Devils last summer, has received backlash from fans, while Jadon Sancho has struggled since his move from Borussia Dortmund two years ago. Sancho has only managed 12 goals and six assists in 80 appearances, and his inconsistency led to him being dropped by England manager Gareth Southgate.

Kaoru Mitoma’s impressive performances for Brighton have certainly caught attention, and Garth Crooks’ endorsement of him as a perfect fit for Manchester United adds weight to the idea. Mitoma’s technical ability, creativity, and consistency make him an attractive option, especially considering the struggles of United’s current wide players like Antony and Jadon Sancho. Both have faced criticism for failing to meet expectations, with Sancho’s inconsistency and Antony’s underwhelming impact being points of concern for fans and pundits alike.

Mitoma’s directness, work ethic, and ability to perform under pressure, highlighted by his strong goal contributions since joining Brighton, suggest he could thrive at a higher level. If United were to make a move, they’d need to act quickly, as other top clubs are reportedly also interested in securing the Japanese winger’s signature. However, any potential transfer would likely require a significant fee, considering Brighton’s tendency to demand high prices for their top talents.
