Spiranac faced criticism early in her career for her bold on-course fashion choices, but she maintained that her intent was never to disrespect golf. Similarly, Charis has addressed the controversy around her style. “After attending events like the Open at Troon and visiting top-tier golf clubs, I realize my approach might seem unconventional, but I’m not backing down,” she told Golf Monthly. “Initially, I didn’t think my content could be seen as undermining the sport. My focus is on growing the game’s audience. Even if my style leans provocative, it’s bringing new people to golf, inspiring them to watch a swing or try the sport, which I see as a win.”
Charis remains unfazed by detractors and continues to share her signature content. On Tuesday evening, she posted a striking photo on her Instagram Story, rocking a pink swimsuit that turned heads.
