He cut his salary to join Real Madrid and Perez refused him

During the current summer transfer window, those close to Adrien Rabiot have attempted to secure a move for him to Real Madrid. However, the Spanish club has not taken any significant steps towards signing the French midfielder. As a result, Rabiot remains a free agent, with no club to his name as of now.

Despite his current status, several clubs have shown interest in acquiring Rabiot. According to the Italian newspaper “Corriere dello Sport,” Al-Nassr, a prominent club in Saudi Arabia, has made a particularly attractive offer. They are reportedly willing to pay him an annual salary of 20 million euros net. This lucrative offer could potentially tempt Rabiot to leave Europe and play in a less competitive league like the Saudi Pro League. However, moving to Saudi Arabia could impact his chances of being selected for the French national team due to the perceived lower level of competition compared to Europe.

Nevertheless, there is a precedent that could influence Rabiot’s decision. The case of N’Golo Kante, another French player who moved to Saudi Arabia, suggests that playing in the Saudi league does not necessarily hinder a player’s international career. Furthermore, Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr, is reportedly pushing for the club to complete the signing of Rabiot. However, the club faces a challenge in making this deal happen due to the restrictions on the number of foreign players allowed in the squad. Al-Nassr is reportedly trying to negotiate an exemption to accommodate Rabiot.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is focused on bolstering their squad with younger talent, continuing a renewal process that has been underway for several seasons. The club’s priority is to bring in fresh faces to strengthen the team for the future. Two young talents, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala, have attracted significant attention from Real Madrid’s scouting and recruitment team. Of the two, Wirtz appears to be closer to joining the prestigious Spanish club, making him a likely candidate to don the famous white shirt of the Royal Club in the near future.

Adrien Rabiot’s summer transfer situation has indeed been complex. While his representatives have attempted to secure a move to Real Madrid, the Spanish giants have not made any significant moves to sign him, leaving the French midfielder as a free agent.

Al-Nassr’s lucrative offer of €20 million net per year is a tempting proposition for Rabiot, potentially drawing him away from Europe to the Saudi Pro League. While concerns remain about how a move to a less competitive league might affect his chances with the French national team, recent precedents, such as N’Golo Kante’s move to Saudi Arabia, suggest that playing in the Saudi league does not necessarily preclude players from international consideration. Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo, a key figure at Al-Nassr, is reportedly advocating for the club to sign Rabiot. However, they are currently constrained by foreign player limits and are seeking an exemption to bring him on board.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, is focused on rejuvenating their squad with younger talents as part of their long-term planning. Players like Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala have caught the eye of Real Madrid’s scouting and recruitment teams, with Wirtz appearing to be closer to a move to the Bernabéu. The club’s emphasis on signing youthful talent aligns with their strategy of building a squad capable of future success while maintaining their competitive edge.
