“He got more than 7 chances from the 30 chances Arsenal created, he should have comfortably two or even got himself a hat trick”- Arsenal icon Thierry Henry names TWO Arsenal stars that could have scored a hat trick against West Ham if they had kept their composure

“He got more than 7 chances from the 30 chances Arsenal created, he should have comfortably two or even got himself a hat trick”- Arsenal icon Thierry Henry names TWO Arsenal stars that could have scored a hat trick against West Ham if they had kept their composure

Thierry Henry, the legendary football figure, has pointed out a key Arsenal player who had the opportunity to score ‘two or three’ goals in the recent 2-0 loss against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite the controversial nature of Tomas Soucek’s opening goal, which seemed to involve the ball going out of play in the lead-up, Arsenal faced a setback with goals from Soucek and Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The situation could have been even more dire for Arsenal if David Raya hadn’t saved Said Benrahma’s penalty after Declan Rice fouled Emerson in the box.

In addition to defensive challenges, Arsenal showcased a lack of efficiency in front of the goal, recording 77 touches in the opposition box, a record in the Premier League for a team that failed to score.

Reflecting on the defeat and its potential impact on the title race, Henry expressed his belief that Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian forward with only three goals in 14 appearances this season, had missed several scoring opportunities. Henry acknowledged West Ham’s defensive prowess, emphasizing their accomplishment of not conceding at the Emirates as remarkable.

Henry also commended three West Ham players and the club’s recruitment strategy following the reinvestment of £105 million from the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal.

He highlighted Edson Alvarez’s contribution to team solidity, praised Jarrod Bowen’s role in winning free-kicks and controlling the ball, and recognized Mohammed Kudus for his ball retention skills that allowed the team to play at a higher level.

According to Henry, West Ham’s effective use of the funds from Declan Rice’s transfer showcased their strategic success.
