Mika Biereth: Former Arsenal Striker Hopes for a Return to Emirates Stadium
Mika Biereth, a 20-year-old Danish striker and former Arsenal player, has shared his aspirations of one day returning to the Premier League and rejoining his former club. Currently playing for Austrian side Sturm Graz, Biereth moved there permanently last summer after several loan experiences. Reflecting on his journey so far, he expressed pride in his growth and excitement about his future prospects.
Biereth started his professional career at Fulham before joining Arsenal in 2021. However, breaking into Mikel Arteta’s first team proved to be a challenge. To gain valuable experience, Biereth went on loan spells to Dutch club RKC Waalwijk and Scottish team Motherwell. These experiences prepared him for his current role at Sturm Graz, where he has found a more consistent place on the pitch.
In a recent interview with TV2, Biereth opened up about his time in Austria and his satisfaction with his development. “Things are going really well here at Sturm Graz. I get to play regularly at a high level, and now we’re competing in the Champions League, which is an amazing experience,” he said.
Despite being focused on his performances with Sturm Graz, Biereth did not shy away from discussing his ambitions to return to England. “If I continue playing well and scoring goals, opportunities might come my way. A return to Arsenal would be incredible, but it’s not something I’m fixated on right now,” he explained.
Biereth’s regular playing time and strong performances in Austria are helping him develop into a well-rounded striker. By competing in top competitions and improving his skills, the young forward is keeping the door open for a possible move back to Arsenal in the future.
