Premier League

I don’t believe he can turn things around at Manchester United, He has only been getting worse at the club. Especially in their last match against Crystal Palace, he had little to no impact in the game and he has been in the club for a while now, it’s disappointing that he has no impacts in game” – This is according to Former English Footballer Joe Cole as he advises Manchester United to part ways with Antony after giving verdict on the underperforming Brazilian.

A former England player believes that Brazilian winger Antony might be leaving Old Trafford soon, as he struggles to cope with the physical demands of the Premier League.

Joe Cole believes Antony’s time at Manchester United may be coming to an end because he isn’t suited to the Premier League.

The Brazilian winger has only made one brief league appearance this season, coming off the bench late in their 2-1 defeat to Brighton last month.

Despite being an £82m signing from Ajax, Antony is now in his third season at Old Trafford but has yet to firmly establish himself at the club.

He has fallen down the pecking order behind players like Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Amad, increasingly becoming a fringe figure.

Cole commented, “The problem with Antony at Manchester United is that he’s perfect for the Dutch league.”

Joe Cole believes Antony struggles with the physicality of the Premier League despite being a talented player with great technique and skill.

While Antony performed well and scored a penalty in Manchester United’s 7-0 Carabao Cup win over Barnsley, Cole doesn’t see him making a significant impact in the starting lineup this season.

The 24-year-old hasn’t appeared in United’s last three Premier League games, remaining an unused substitute, even when the team struggled in the 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace.

Cole doubts Antony can turn things around at Manchester United.

Antony was left on the sidelines during Manchester United’s Community Shield loss to Manchester City and their opening day defeat to Fulham.

In an interview with Paddy Power, Joe Cole commented: “I think Antony is playing with a move away from the club in mind, and I believe United will move on from him

He’s still young and should be entering his prime in the net few years, but I think he’s better suited to other leagues.”

Joe Cole has expressed doubts about Antony’s future at Manchester United, suggesting that the Brazilian winger may soon depart Old Trafford. According to Cole, Antony has struggled to adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League, which is a significant challenge for the player despite his talent and technical ability. Although Antony was signed for £82 million from Ajax, he has yet to fully establish himself at United, falling behind players like Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Amad Diallo in the pecking order.

Antony’s lack of appearances this season, including being an unused substitute in the last three Premier League matches and the Community Shield loss to Manchester City, has further fueled speculation about his future. Cole believes that while Antony has qualities suited to other leagues, particularly the Dutch league where he previously thrived, he may struggle to make a long-term impact in the Premier League. Cole’s comments, made during an interview with Paddy Power, suggest that Antony could be considering a move away from the club as he enters his prime years.
