Mauricio Pochettino finds himself frustrated as Chelsea’s season fails to live up to expectations, with reports surfacing about his dissatisfaction with two key players.
After a high-spending summer transfer window, which saw the arrival of talents like Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, and Cole Palmer, hopes were high that Pochettino would lead Chelsea back to Premier League glory.
However, the reality has been disappointing. The Blues currently languish in ninth place in the league, a whopping sixteen points adrift of fifth-placed Aston Villa and a staggering 27 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
According to insider reports, Pochettino and his coaching staff are particularly displeased with the performances of two players in particular.
Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk, both wingers for Chelsea, have failed to make the desired impact, much to the frustration of the coaching staff.
Despite his hefty price tag of £88 million in 2023, Ukrainian winger Mudryk has only managed to notch up six goals and three assists in 33 appearances this season, falling short of expectations.
Similarly, England international Sterling, who has made 38 appearances across all competitions, has only contributed eight goals and eight assists.
In response to their underwhelming displays, Chelsea is reportedly eyeing a new winger in the upcoming summer transfer window, with rumors swirling around the potential acquisition of Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao.
