“I want Arsenal move next season, I don’t mind lowering my salary just to be part of this Mikel Arteta”s super team”- £45M rated Attacker reveals he rejected many offers from top clubs just to fulfill his childhood dream of playing for Arsenal

Borussia Dortmund’s star forward, Donyell Malen, has openly shared his aspiration to play in the Premier League, specifically for Arsenal, the club he has cherished since his youth. Malen’s declaration comes amid ongoing speculations about his potential transfer.

Earlier reports suggested that Borussia Dortmund (BVB) was ready to let the Dutch striker leave in January. However, no concrete offers were made, and thus, no deal materialized. Despite this, Malen has demonstrated impressive form recently, netting six goals in his last seven matches across various competitions. This stellar performance has only intensified discussions about his future.

Currently 25 years old, Malen has shown that he has the potential to be a valuable asset. Borussia Dortmund is reportedly open to selling him, with an asking price around £43 million. Liverpool is among the clubs reportedly considering a summer bid for Malen.

In a recent interview with Voetbalzone, Malen expressed his heartfelt desire to return to Arsenal, which he regards as his “favourite club.” He reminisced about his early days with the Gunners, where he trained with the first team but couldn’t secure a spot in the starting lineup, prompting him to seek first-team opportunities elsewhere.

Malen shared his reflections, saying:

“Playing in the Premier League has always been a dream for me. When I was younger, I joined Arsenal, a club I have always loved. Training with the first team at 17 or 18 was a significant step, but I realized I needed to play professional football regularly. Watching my peers play professionally while I remained in youth football made it clear that leaving was the right decision.”

As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal is expected to strengthen its attacking lineup. Several top strikers, including Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen, have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. These players, however, come with hefty price tags, potentially making Malen a more affordable alternative.

Nonetheless, there is ongoing debate about whether Malen possesses the qualities necessary to meet Arsenal’s high ambitions. Some argue that more proven talents like Toney or Osimhen would be better suited to bolster Arsenal’s attacking prowess and help the team achieve its goals.

In summary, while Malen’s dream of playing for Arsenal adds an intriguing dimension to the upcoming transfer window, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will pursue him or opt for other high-profile targets to enhance their squad.
