“I wanted to sign him when I was in Sporting. He is the new Neymer and he scores a lot of goals. Even better than Neymer. We will give another Brazilian player (Antony). We can’t allow Barcelonato sign another Another Brazilians star again.”- Man Utd ‘planning shock swap deal’ for ‘explosive’ Brazilian who is being seen as the ‘new Neymer’ with Antony in January as they plan to make fast move before Barcelona signs him first.

Manchester United are reportedly planning a bold swap deal for Brazilian starlet Lorran, who has been hailed as “the new Vinicius Jr.”

New United manager Ruben Amorim, who signed a contract through 2027 after a successful stint with Sporting CP, is already being linked with transfer targets to bolster the squad, as United aim to climb from their current 13th place in the Premier League.

According to reports, United are eyeing a move for Flamengo’s 18-year-old sensation, Lorran. The young talent, known for his “explosive” style, holds the record as Flamengo’s youngest-ever scorer at 16 years, 6 months, and 20 days—a record previously held by Vinicius Jr. before his transfer to Real Madrid. Vinicius himself endorsed Lorran’s skills earlier this year, calling him a “ball wizard” on social media.

In addition to United, clubs like Brighton, West Ham, RB Leipzig, Marseille, and Atalanta have also shown interest in Lorran, who has already logged 30 first-team appearances for Flamengo. His contract reportedly includes a €50 million (£43 million) release clause, though sources suggest he might be available for less in January.

United may be exploring the option of including out-of-favor winger Antony as part of the deal. The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact since his £86 million transfer from Ajax, and the club has reportedly informed him he can leave in January. Flamengo has expressed interest in Antony, making him a potential makeweight in a bid for Lorran.

Amorim’s first match in charge will be an away game against newly promoted Ipswich Town following the international break.

Manchester United’s interest in Flamengo’s Lorran reflects their ambition to rejuvenate the squad under new manager Ruben Amorim. The 18-year-old, touted as “the new Vinicius Jr.,” brings an explosive style to the game and is seen as a bright prospect, already holding Flamengo’s record as their youngest-ever scorer. This move is part of Amorim’s strategy to lift United from their current struggles, as they sit in 13th place in the Premier League.

A swap deal involving Antony could prove beneficial for both clubs. Antony, who has been unable to live up to expectations since his high-profile move from Ajax, could reignite his career in Brazil, where Flamengo has shown interest. This arrangement could help United offset the cost of Lorran, who has a €50 million release clause but might be available for less come January. Additionally, several European clubs, including Brighton, West Ham, RB Leipzig, Marseille, and Atalanta, are also tracking Lorran, so United may need to act quickly to secure the Brazilian starlet.

Amorim will have a chance to implement his strategies in his first game against Ipswich Town after the international break, marking the beginning of what United fans hope will be a transformative era.
