Man United lost to Liverpool in their final pre-season tour fixture and here are how the players rated in South Carolina.

OPINIONManchester United player ratings as Harry Amass good but Casemiro poor vs Liverpool.Andre OnanaBeaten by a deflected goal for the opener, could do little about the second before conceding a third. Attempted to be proactive on the ball. 6.Usual performance of relative defensive competence and attacking incompetence. Scooped one cross over everyone. 5.Victor Lindelof.

More minutes for a centre back United want to sell before the end of the month. Not a particularly convincing 45 minutes. 5Endured an uncomfortable half against Liverpool’s slick attackers and got into one muddle when he tried to shield the ball. 5Played another hour on what has been a breakthrough tour for the 17-year-old.Got the better of Mohamed Salah a couple of times and created a chance for Scott McTominay. 7.Toby CollyerA good first half was blemished by his culpability for Curtis Jones’s goal when he lost the ball and was then skinned by Salah. Teed up Mason Mount for a chance at 0-0. 6Casemiro

A better attacking midfielder than defensive midfielder these days. Bought Fabio Carvalho’s dummy for the first goal and got annoyed with himself over one errant pass. 5Amad.

Uncharacteristically quiet in the first half but more urgent in the second until he made way after an hour. 6Mason Mount

A decent outing that should have been crowned with a goal. Had United’s two best chances in the first half. Moved to the left wing after half-time. 6

Marcus RashfordHad a bright half and went close on a couple of occasions. Came off at half-time, having been nursing a knock earlier in the week. 6Jadon Sancho

A regressive performance after his sharp showing in San Diego. Started as the false nine again and moved to the wing for the last half-an-hour. Here’s my take on the player ratings from Manchester United’s game against Liverpool:

### Andre Onana: 6
Onana had a challenging match, conceding three goals, though he wasn’t at fault for most of them. He attempted to be proactive with his ball distribution, showing his usual competence.

### Victor Lindelof: 5
Lindelof had an uncomfortable 45 minutes, struggling against Liverpool’s attackers. It was evident why the club is considering selling him.

### Harry Amass: 7
Amass had a notable performance, especially for a 17-year-old. He managed to handle Salah well on several occasions and even created a chance for McTominay.

### Toby Collyer: 6
Collyer had a mixed game, performing well in the first half but being at fault for Jones’s goal. However, he did create a good opportunity for Mount.

### Casemiro: 5
Casemiro seemed more effective in attack than defense, struggling notably with Carvalho’s dummy for Liverpool’s first goal. His frustration was evident with his misplaced pass.

### Amad: 6
Amad was quieter than usual in the first half but showed more urgency in the second before being substituted.

### Mason Mount: 6
Mount had a decent game and should have scored with his chances. He remained active and versatile, even switching to the left wing in the second half.

### Marcus Rashford: 6
Rashford looked bright and was close to scoring on a couple of occasions before being subbed off at halftime, likely due to a prior knock.

### Jadon Sancho: 5
Sancho’s performance was disappointing, especially after his previous good showings. He started as a false nine but couldn’t make a significant impact, even after moving to the wing.

Overall, the team had a mixed performance with standout moments from the younger players like Amass, but the more experienced ones like Casemiro and Sancho didn’t meet expectations.
