Manchester United has announced that Thier FLOP player Marcus Rashford will leave the club under TWO CONDITIONS

According to a report, Manchester United would only consider selling Marcus Rashford if he told the club he wanted out and a’substantial’ price came in.Rashford has struggled to maintain his impressive form in the 2023/24 season, scoring only eight goals and providing five assists in 40 outings for the Red Devils.

Multiple reports on Monday claimed that United are willing to let Rashford leave as part of the club’s summer rebuilding plans, with Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund the only players who are off-limits.

Rashford might therefore be sold, but according to The Athletic, this would be contingent on two events occurring concurrently.

In order for such deal to be considered, United would need to receive a significant offer for the forward, as well as his request to leave the club.

United’s priority is to keep Rashford and help him recapture his form from the 2022/23 season, when he scored a career-high 30 goals and had 10 assists in 56 appearances.

Earlier this year, 90min reported that Paris Saint-Germain had Rashford on a four-player shortlist of prospective Kylian Mbappe successors. Rashford met with PSG in 2022 and 2023, but thought he was using their interest as leverage to secure a new contract with United, ultimately signing a deal worth £325,000 per week last summer.

United boss Erik ten Hag has been openly supportive of Rashford, who recently spoke out against the abuse he has faced this season.

“I feel a lot of compassion for Rashy,” Ten Hag stated before of Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Burnley. “Last year, he had a fantastic season, the finest of his career with 30 goals.

“This season, he did not provide the results that people expected, and as a result, they are quite critical. I believe we have to support him. Everyone should support him and encourage him to return to the levels he achieved last year.

“I believe he requires help. We all know what he is capable of. We all need to support but also challenge him. He can do better than he is doing this year, as we saw last year when he was really good.” Manchester United’s stance on Marcus Rashford is clear: they would only consider selling him if he explicitly requested to leave and if a substantial offer was made. Rashford has had a challenging season, scoring only eight goals and providing five assists in 40 matches, which contrasts sharply with his 2022/23 performance of 30 goals and 10 assists in 56 appearances.

Despite the recent dip in form, manager Erik ten Hag remains supportive, emphasizing the need to help Rashford return to his previous high standards. There are reports suggesting United’s willingness to let him go as part of a summer rebuild, but only Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund are deemed off-limits for transfers.

Earlier, Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in Rashford as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, and Rashford did meet with PSG in 2022 and 2023. However, he eventually signed a lucrative contract with United, reportedly leveraging PSG’s interest to secure better terms.

Ten Hag has publicly expressed his empathy for Rashford, highlighting the need for support and encouragement to help him regain his form from the previous season.
