Manchester United in negotiations with PL rivals to seal deal for goal machine, talks expected to reach a “positive conclusion” tonight as player set to arrive tomorrow for medical- report

Manchester United are currently in discussions with Arsenal, another top-tier Premier League team, to finalize the transfer of teenage goal-scoring sensation Chido Obi-Martin.

Last month, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United had successfully fended off interest from both domestic and international clubs to secure the services of the highly-touted Obi-Martin.

Obi-Martin, now 16 years old, recently departed Arsenal following the expiration of his contract. Despite Arsenal’s efforts to keep him in North London, including attempts to extend his stay, the young forward decided to decline their offers.Manchester United presented Obi-Martin with a compelling and ambitious plan that outlined a clear path to eventually joining the first team. According to reports covered by *The Peoples Person*, once Obi-Martin officially becomes a part of the Red Devils, he is expected to be considered the third-choice striker, trailing only behind Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Obi-Martin has successfully completed his medical evaluation at United. However, he cautioned that the official announcement of the transfer could be delayed, as the deal must comply with Premier League regulations.Laurie Whitwell, a journalist from *The Athletic*, has provided a recent update on the situation.

Whitwell reported in the publication, “Manchester United are currently negotiating with Arsenal to agree on a compensation fee for Chido Obi-Martin, following the completion of his medical at Carrington.”

“Obi-Martin, the 16-year-old forward, has largely agreed on personal terms with United, and the next step in the transfer process is for Arsenal to settle on a transfer fee.”

Whitwell further added, “The general expectation is that these negotiations will conclude positively, avoiding the need to escalate the matter to a Premier League tribunal.”

Whitwell also noted that “Once a fee is settled, given Obi-Martin’s age, the Premier League will need to undergo a ratification process, which might extend over several weeks. He is being viewed as a prospect for the academy rather than an immediate addition to Erik ten Hag’s first team.”

The expectation within the club is that Obi-Martin will initially join United’s U18 and U21 squads, but he will also be given opportunities to train with the senior team as deemed appropriate.

Last season, Obi-Martin made a significant impact, scoring an impressive 32 goals in just 20 league appearances for Arsenal’s U18 team.Manchester United is on the verge of finalizing the transfer of 16-year-old forward Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal. Manchester United managed to fend off interest from both domestic and international clubs by presenting Obi-Martin with an ambitious plan that includes a clear pathway to the first team.

Laurie Whitwell of *The Athletic* reported that Manchester United and Arsenal are currently negotiating a compensation fee, which is expected to be settled without the need for a Premier League tribunal. Once the fee is agreed upon, the transfer will require ratification by the Premier League due to Obi-Martin’s age, a process that could take several weeks.

Initially, Obi-Martin is expected to join Manchester United’s U18 and U21 squads, with the possibility of training with the senior team as he develops. Last season, he scored 32 goals in 20 league appearances for Arsenal’s U18 team, highlighting his potential as a future star.
