Manchester United Star Player MCTOMINAY has officially left Manchester United to join this Shocking Rival

It has been claimed that Manchester United has agreed to sell midfielder Scott McTominay. The midfielder has been closely associated with a summer transfer away from Old Trafford. His contract runs until 2025, with a further 12 months option.

Played 12 minutes as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Brighton, the 27-year-old appeared in United’s first two Premier League games of the season.

United now decided, nonetheless, to let him depart the team.

According to the Athletic, Napoli has struck agreements with them on the McTominay purchase for a sum of about €30 million.

With the Red Devils including a sell-on provision into the contract, McTominay’s agreement conditions with the Italian side would terminate a 22-year association with United for the Scotland international.

Given McTominay is an Academy graduate, his sale will be recorded as “pure profit” in the balance sheets, therefore helping United in their quest to avoid fines related to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

For the midfielder this summer, the club turned down several bids from rival teams, including one said to be worth almost £20 million from Fulham.

Last season, he was United’s joint-third highest striker, collecting 10 goals in all competitions mostly via his late rushes into the box and aerial prowess. He also sporadically played centre forward. It appears that Manchester United has agreed to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli for around €30 million. The 27-year-old midfielder, who has been with United for 22 years and came through their academy, has seen limited playing time this season, featuring as a substitute in the recent loss to Brighton and in the first two Premier League games.

McTominay’s departure will be recorded as “pure profit” in Manchester United’s financial records due to his status as an academy graduate. This helps the club with their Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) compliance. United also included a sell-on clause in the deal with Napoli.

Despite interest from several clubs, including a £20 million bid from Fulham, United decided to let McTominay leave now, after rejecting previous offers. His sale marks the end of a long association with the club, where he also made significant contributions last season, scoring 10 goals in all competitions and occasionally playing as a center forward.
