Not Davies, Bayern Munich offer surprise star to Real Madrid and Florentino responds: We don’t want him
Bayern Munich is still in talks with Real Madrid about Alphonso Davies but is using this opportunity to suggest other players to reshape their squad for the upcoming season.
Defensa Central reports that Bayern has offered Kingsley Coman, a French winger eager to leave, as a potential addition to Real Madrid’s team. However, Real Madrid has firmly stated they are not interested, deeming Coman unnecessary at this time.
Although Bayern proposed a loan with a mandatory purchase clause for Coman, Real Madrid rejected it. Despite Coman’s high profile, Florentino Perez feels Madrid’s attack is already well-stocked. The consideration of Coman does not preclude other moves from Real Madrid in the transfer market.
Florentino Pérez is only considering changes to the squad by potentially adding another defender, with Laporte from Al-Nassr being the main candidate. However, Real Madrid is unwilling to pay for him, and the only option would be for Laporte to terminate his contract, which is challenging given his remaining 48 million euros in earnings over the next two years. It appears that Bayern Munich is exploring various options as they negotiate with Real Madrid over Alphonso Davies, including offering Kingsley Coman to bolster Real Madrid’s attack. However, Real Madrid has rejected this offer, stating that Coman is unnecessary for their current squad. Bayern Munich had even proposed a loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause for Coman, but Real Madrid declined, as they feel confident in their existing attacking options.
Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, is reportedly focused on strengthening the defensive line instead. The primary target in this regard is Aymeric Laporte from Al-Nassr. However, Madrid is not willing to pay a transfer fee for Laporte and would only consider the move if he can terminate his contract with Al-Nassr, a challenging prospect given that he still has €48 million in earnings due over the next two years.
This situation highlights Bayern Munich’s active efforts to reshape their squad while Real Madrid maintains a measured approach to their transfer strategy, prioritizing specific needs over opportunistic additions.
