Real Madrid competes with Manchester United to sign midfielder with a £20 million release clause.
Manchester United is currently evaluating an Olympic champion to bolster their defense.
This summer, Manchester United competed with Real Madrid to acquire the “generational talent” Leny Yoro.
Previously with LOSC Lille in Ligue 1, Yoro was a key player for the French team. However, Lille decided to let him go as he entered the last year of his contract and with top clubs showing interest. They ultimately agreed to a transfer valued at €62 million.
Although Yoro preferred a move to Madrid, United succeeded in signing the French defender in a significant transfer deal.
Now, the Red Devils face another challenge from Madrid.
Spanish magazine AS reports that both top European clubs recently sent scouts to watch Sevilla’s Juanlu Sánchez during the Olympic Games in Paris, where he won a gold medal.
The right-back, who has played 43 LaLiga matches, scored twice and provided three assists. Sevilla is keen on retaining the 21-year-old, whose contract runs until 2026.
He has a €20 million release clause, and although Bournemouth made a €10 million bid this summer, it was turned down.
