Ruben Amorim’s instant reaction to Marcus Rashford’s goal after just 80 seconds has got Man Utd fans talking

Ruben Amorim’s immediate reaction to Marcus Rashford putting Manchester United 1-0 ahead against Ipswich has been spotted by fans.

Amorim made his debut as Manchester United manager after being officially appointed during the international break on November 11. In his first match, he surprised many with his team selection, notably deploying Noussair Mazraoui as part of a back three and Amad Diallo at right wing-back. It was Diallo, however, who played a key role in giving Amorim a dream start to life in English football, assisting Marcus Rashford’s goal just 1 minute and 20 seconds into the game.
Diallo sprinted down the right, evading several defenders, and delivered a precise cross into the box, where Rashford made sure to get on the end of it, guiding it past Ipswich’s Arijanet Muric. Rashford celebrated, but the most striking moment came from Amorim, who remained seated throughout the celebration, calmly sipping from his water bottle. His composed, almost cold demeanor quickly became a talking point among United fans.

One fan remarked, “Amorim is COLD. Man didn’t even celebrate.” Another added, “Amorim didn’t celebrate? My manager.” A third chimed in, “Amorim didn’t even celebrate that goal at all. We’ve actually won.”

United knew that a win would propel them back into the top half of the Premier League, following a tough start to the season. In his first interview as manager, Amorim outlined his vision for the club. He emphasized the importance of unity, stating, “I don’t just want to be in charge.

I want everybody together. It will be more fun and much easier to reach the goals.” This approach, focused on collaboration and collective effort, sets the tone for his managerial reign as he seeks to lead United back to the top of English football.
