Saudi clubs now plotting lucrative offer to sign £90 million Arsenal floop
Saudi Pro League teams are thinking about making big offers for two important Arsenal players from Mikel Arteta’s team.
Arsenal’s Summer Plans and Possible Key Exits
Arsenal’s plans for the summer transfer window are already in motion. Sporting director Edu has shared that they have already decided on their target players. He mentioned to TNT:
“I understand the fans’ expectations, but we already have our targets in mind. We have planned ahead. I would be worried if we weren’t scoring goals and creating chances, but that’s not the case.
Our aim is to improve every year, and I think we’re doing well. Sometimes when recruiting players, their character might not fit with what we need, and then we move on to find the right ones. All our signings have been young, energetic, passionate, and talented, with bright futures.”
There are even reports that Arsenal might break their previous summer spending record. Last year, they spent around £208 million, so breaking that would be significant.
Edu and Arteta are looking for a new top striker and a central midfielder. Both Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey are facing uncertainty about their futures at Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus, who joined from Manchester City for around £45 million in the summer of 2022, has scored just eight goals and made seven assists this season. His position could be at risk if Arsenal signs a rumored target like Viktor Gyokeres.
Arsenal is also open to selling Thomas Partey if they get the right offer. Partey’s contract expires next year, and Arsenal paid £45 million to sign him from Atletico Madrid in 2020. He has been valuable to the team, but his time at Arsenal could be ending.

According to GiveMeSport, Saudi clubs are thinking about offering big contracts to Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey. These two players cost Arsenal a combined £90 million to sign. Saudi teams want to bring more star players to their league.
Arsenal is open to the idea of selling Jesus and Partey, so it will be interesting to see if their departures could help fund new signings for the squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
