Manchester United fan and YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has already voiced his opinion on who the club should sign if Alejandro Garnacho leaves.

The 20-year-old winger has recently been linked with potential transfers to Napoli and Chelsea. This marks a surprising shift, as Garnacho was previously considered “untouchable” under Erik ten Hag’s management and a crucial part of the Dutchman’s plans.

However, things have changed since Ruben Amorim took over as United’s manager in November 2024. On December 15, Amorim notably omitted Garnacho from the squad for United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad. Although Amorim later praised Garnacho’s response, the winger has spent much of the last three months on the bench.

Adding fuel to the transfer speculation, reports surfaced on Monday that Garnacho’s agent attended Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolves at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Italian outlet Il Mattino claimed the player has already agreed to join Napoli.

Amid the uncertainty, United Stand host and Red Devils supporter Mark Goldbridge, whose real name is Brent Di Cesare, suggested a potential replacement. On Tuesday morning, the 45-year-old took to X (formerly Twitter) to advocate for Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.

“Man Utd need to be all over this Cunha deal,” Goldbridge wrote.

Cunha, 25, has been one of the few bright spots in a struggling Wolves side, scoring ten goals and providing four assists in 22 appearances this season. Following Wolves’ recent 3-1 defeat to Chelsea, manager Vitor Pereira criticized the team’s attitude, saying, “I don’t like this body language. I want someone, as a captain, trying to help the team – running, suffering, and fighting all together.”

Cunha is valued at €50 million (£42 million) by Transfermarkt, and his contract runs until June 2027. Both Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the Brazilian forward, which could spark a bidding war if United decide to pursue him.
