VERY SAD Rodri news has been announced this morning on why he was substituted against Fluminensein the Club WorldCup Final yesterday

In a recent football match between Manchester City and Fluminense, midfielder Rodri, who is from Spain, got injured during the Club World Cup final in Jeddah.

The injury occurred in the second half when he was challenged by Fluminense’s midfielder, Alexsander. Despite City being ahead by three goals, Rodri, feeling pain, decided not to take any more risks and chose to step down from the game.

Rodri has been a crucial player for Manchester City since joining in 2019 from Atletico Madrid. He scored the game-winning goal in the Champions League final, and his absence in some games this season has impacted the team negatively, leading to three Premier League losses.

City’s top scorer, Erling Haaland, had already missed the first two Club World Cup matches and the past two Premier League games due to injury. The team’s planned match against Brentford was rescheduled for their participation in the Club World Cup.

The upcoming matches for City include a homecoming match against Everton on December 27, where the availability of Rodri is uncertain. Following that, on December 30, they will face Sheffield United before a break until January 13, when they play Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup third round.

City has been without midfielder Kevin De Bruyne for the entire season, adding to the challenges they face in maintaining their form and securing victories.
