Victoria Beckham Shares Her Essential Bedtime Ritual with Husband David – And It Involves Earplugs

Victoria Beckham, the 51-year-old fashion mogul and former Spice Girl, has given fans a glimpse into her nightly routine alongside her husband, Sir David Beckham – and it’s more relatable than expected. While many might picture the glamorous couple winding down with luxury skincare or silk pajamas, Victoria’s secret to a peaceful night’s sleep is far simpler: earplugs.

In a candid chat with *The Sun* during the promotion of her Netflix documentary, Victoria didn’t hold back about the reason behind her bedtime essential. “I wear earplugs,” she said. “And let me tell you, it’s not for style. I’m not trying to make a fashion statement in bed.” With a laugh, she added, “He may look perfect, but breaking news – even my husband snores. I need the earplugs.”

The couple, married for over 26 years, share a bedroom in their sprawling Holland Park mansion, and Victoria is firm about keeping it that way. Despite having plenty of spare rooms, she refuses to send David to sleep elsewhere. “That’s not healthy,” she explained. “You don’t want to do that. That’s why earplugs exist – or you embrace the snoring. I can’t do that, so I block it out.”

Snoring is a widespread issue, affecting around 45% of adults occasionally, according to a YouGov survey. Even royalty isn’t exempt – Prince William once revealed in a 2009 BBC interview that his brother, Prince Harry, kept him awake with loud snoring during their brief time sharing quarters. “He snores a lot,” William said, prompting Harry to quip, “Well done, now they’ll think we share a bed!”

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) supports Victoria’s approach, recommending earplugs for partners of snorers. They also suggest lifestyle changes for the snorer, such as losing weight if needed, sleeping on one’s side (using a tennis ball sewn into sleepwear to prevent rolling onto the back), and avoiding alcohol, smoking, and sedatives before bed.

Beyond earplugs, Victoria’s bedtime routine includes self-care and suspense. She wears an LED face mask nightly to maintain her radiant complexion and reads psychological thrillers in bed. “David had better sleep with one eye open,” she joked, hinting at her taste for crime novels.

After more than two decades together, the Beckhams have clearly mastered the art of compromise – even when it comes to getting a good night’s rest.
