According to today’s report from The Mirror, the headline reads, “Ugarte’s Sale Has United’s Approval.” The prominent British newspaper states that Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, is ready to allow Manuel Ugarte to finalize his move to Manchester United.

Manchester United has already engaged in two rounds of discussions for the Uruguayan defensive midfielder, who is currently participating in the Copa America. Reports indicate that Manchester United views Ugarte as their prime candidate to replace Brazilian international Casemiro at Old Trafford.

Moreover, it’s promising that the South American star himself is open to negotiating a deal with the Red Devils. Last year, PSG signed Ugarte from Sporting CP for approximately £50 million. However, following a mediocre season in France, his current valuation has dropped to around £38 million.

Initially, Manchester United had considered Edson Alvarez to strengthen their No. 6 position. Unfortunately, Alvarez sustained a major injury before the Copa America, leading United to shift their complete focus to acquiring Manuel Ugarte from the French champions.

Last season, Erik ten Hag’s squad conceded 58 goals in the Premier League. It has become evident that they need a robust defensive midfielder to fortify their defense in the upcoming campaign.Manchester United is on the verge of finalizing the acquisition of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, as confirmed by PSG’s manager, Luis Enrique. The manager emphasized that while he respects Ugarte’s desire to leave, he is not responsible for any potential career setbacks the player might face at Manchester United. This transfer is seen as a crucial move for United, who have been actively seeking a replacement for Brazilian international Casemiro.

The Mirror reported the headline, “Ugarte’s Sale Has United’s Approval,” highlighting that Manchester United has conducted multiple rounds of negotiations for the Uruguayan defensive midfielder. Ugarte, who is currently participating in the Copa America, is highly regarded by United, who view him as their top choice to enhance their defensive midfield position.

Despite PSG initially acquiring Ugarte for around £50 million from Sporting CP, his value has now decreased to approximately £38 million due to a lackluster season in France. Manchester United had previously considered Edson Alvarez for this role, but a significant injury ruled him out of contention, leading the club to focus solely on securing Ugarte.

Manchester United’s defense struggled last season, conceding 58 goals in the Premier League. The addition of a strong defensive midfielder like Ugarte is expected to significantly bolster their defensive stability for the upcoming campaign.
